Lake Como Indian Wedding

Shanthala and Ludwig celebrated their traditional Indian wedding with all the typical rituals. The ceremony took place in a villa on Lake Como, which provided the ideal setting for the celebration with its tranquil ambience and view of the lake. The wedding followed the classic Indian wedding rituals - from the preparatory rites to the actual ceremony under the mandap.
The decoration concept was inspired by colourful Bollywood and focused on intense, vibrant colours. Most of the decorative elements came directly from India and created an authentic atmosphere. From elaborately designed fabrics and traditional flower garlands to artfully arranged seating areas, the setting reflected the culture and tradition and, of course, traditional Indian music was not to be missed: Dhol players created a rousing atmosphere with their rhythmic drum beats and provided musical accompaniment to the festivities.
The guests were also well catered for: Indian catering spoiled them with a variety of regional specialities that brought the taste of India to Lake Como. The wedding thus became a successful interplay of culture, tradition and culinary highlights.
