Celin and Robin got in touch with me about 18 months ago – with a very clear wish: a wedding by the sea.
As is so often the case, it all began with what is arguably the biggest challenge of wedding planning: finding the perfect venue. Together, we considered various countries – from Spain to Croatia and Greece. And then, suddenly, there it was: that one venue in Crete that immediately struck a chord.
It was clear right from the presentation – the two of them had fallen in love.
A short while later, we were sitting together on the plane to Crete. Once we arrived, we went straight into a tasting session; the initial details began to take shape, and bit by bit, an idea developed into a very special wedding concept.
The result was more than just a wedding – it was an experience. A feeling. A perfect flow that carried through the whole day.
One moment in particular has stayed with me:
Celin and Robin took ten minutes just for themselves. Away from the hustle and bustle, on a flight of steps overlooking the sea, they read their wedding vows to each other in a calm and intimate setting.
Quiet. Real. Emotional.
It is precisely these moments that make a wedding unforgettable.
I must say: I have always been a big fan of intimate weddings – and this day has shown me once again why.
